Chicago Shares is comprised solely of volunteers sharing their time and talent in an effort to strengthen their community by helping the homeless and feeding the hungry.
There are many great opportunities to get involved with Chicago Shares and we encourage you to read through the options below and find the one that best suits you.
Volunteer Opportunities:
- Work with Chicago Shares to enlist vendors of food and of services useful to people on the street as redeemers of vouchers, and religious communities, agencies and corporations as sellers of vouchers. Click here to view the PDF with information about what vendors need to do to participate.
- Sell vouchers at Holy Name Cathedral on the 3rd Sunday of every month. (To volunteer at another location that sells vouchers, contact them directly).
- Work one-on-one with participating merchants. Responsibilities include: collecting redeemed vouchers, delivering redemption checks and getting feedback about the program
