Purchase Vouchers

You can purchase Chicago Shares vouchers online or in person at one of our partner locations.

Online Purchases

You can purchase Chicago Shares vouchers by clicking the button below. Give the vouchers to those in need, who can then redeem them at participating locations for food and personal care items. Vouchers cannot be used to purchase alcohol or tobacco. Chicago Shares reimburses the vendors in full for each voucher redeemed at their location.

Use the button below to purchase vouchers using our secured payment system. Each voucher is worth $1 and they are sold in packets of 5. The cost for each packet of vouchers is $5.00. Shipping will be added to your total.

Chicago Shares is incorporated as a not-for-profit corporation in the state of Illinois and has 501(c)3 status. Your payment for Chicago Shares vouchers is considered a charitable contribution when the vouchers are given to needy persons.

If you don't have opportunity to hand out Chicago Shares to needy persons yourself, but would like to support our program, please consider a donation. Purchase at Our Partner Locations

Chicago Shares can be purchased at St. Peter's Church, 100 W. Madison, Chicago, IL 60602 (312) 372-5111 during office hours. In addition, Chicago Shares can be purchased at specific times and Sundays after services at various Chicago area churches.

Unused Vouchers Become Grant Funding

If Chicago Shares has extra dollars from the vouchers that you purchase (because not all Shares purchased are redeemed), you should know that your dollars will be donated in the form of grants to help not-for-profit organizations with similar missions.

One of these grant recipients this year was The Historic Stone Temple Church, Chicago. The senior pastor of Stone Temple Church wrote us and said,

"We want to thank you for partnering with Stone Temple Church to fight food insecurity in the North Lawndale community. Your partnership will help us continue the work that we are doing in North Lawndale and the surrounding communities."
